USA Permanent Residency Visa

USA had become one of the most preferred countries to get a Permanent Residency for a number of decades. How does it work?

Express Entry has three key categories, i.e.

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program.
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program.
  • US Experience Class.

If you are a skilled worker, you can apply under the FSWP (Federal skilled worker Program). You need to create a profile & submit your EOI and obtain a minimum of 67 points under the FSWP stream, based on your age, education, work experience, language ability, etc. factors.

Once you meet the eligibility criteria you will launch your application in the Express Entry pool and will be compared with the other applicants to obtain an ITA from IRCC. When your applicant ion is launched in the Express entry pool, your profile gets a distinctive point score, called CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score for key profile factors, i.e. education, language skills, experience, etc.

Applicants with top-ranking scores & profiles get the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for US PR from IRCC. The IRCC conducts a draw every 15 days and announces the cut off marks to select the candidates. The applicants achieving the cut-off score get selected for ITA for US PR.

The key requirements to apply for US PR via express entry are as follows:

A skilled worker from applying under the express entry stream must obtain an Education Credential assessment through a designated body according to their profile ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) from WES and Language proficiency test result (for English or French language) with minimum CLB 7 score, (i.e. General IELTS Test for English proficiency).

Once, you have obtained the applicant of the above documents must create the profile on the federal express entry system and score minimum 67 points on Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) category of express entry to qualify an applicant.

Express Entry: Eligible Federal Skilled Worker Occupations.

The work experience must be classified within Skill Type 0 (Managerial Occupations), Skill Level A (Professional Occupations), or Skill Level B (Technical Occupations and Skilled Trades) within the National Occupational Classification system.
