The Graduate Record Examination is a computer-based, systematised test that assesses the mathematical, analytical and verbal skills of candidates. The GRE test is designed to assess. The skills of students applying for Masters, doctoral and specialised Masters’ courses abroad.
Students only need to have a valid passport in order to appear for the GRE examination. There is no minimum qualification or age requirement to appear for the GRE. The tests are conducted at Prometric Testing Centres and candidates are required to produce their passport at the time of taking the exam.
The GRE exam consists of 3 modules:
The Analytical Writing module always appears first while the others are presented in a random order. There may also be un-scored sections in the test. Typically, the GRE exam lasts 3 hours 45 minutes. The time duration and pattern are different for paper-based & computerised tests.
